DNO - The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Plan No. 75/KH-UBND on organizing the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023. Accordingly, the first fireworks show will take place on the evening of June 2; Final competition night on the evening of July 8.

Accordingly, the unit directing the organization is the People's Committee of Da Nang city; the operating unit is the Department of Culture and Sports; Sun Group Joint Stock Company (Sun Group), Thoi Dai Trading and Communication Joint Stock Company are the implementing units; Departments, committees, branches and localities in the area coordinate implementation; Global 2000 International Company is the fireworks display consulting unit.

This year's contest has the theme "World without Distance", taking place from June 2 to July 8 at the Han River Port area. The main stand and stage are on the sidewalk of Tran Hung Dao Street, opposite the display area which imitates the stage used at previous DIFFs.

Supporting activities are expected to be organized throughout the city, including spaces on both sides of the Han River and along main roads.

Teams participate and perform according to the theme each night. The first night took place on June 2, and was a competition between the Vietnamese and Finnish teams with the theme "Peace for humanity".

The second night took place on June 10 between the teams Canada - France with the theme "Love without borders". The third night took place on June 17 between the Australian and Italian teams with the theme "Conquering dreams".

The fourth night took place on June 24 between the Polish and British teams with the theme "Dance of Nature" and the final night took place on July 8 with the theme "World without Distance". Themed performances of the competing teams promise to bring many attractions to residents and tourists.

Each participating team performs for a period of 20-22 minutes, according to the theme of DIFF 2023. The champion team will win a prize worth 10,000 USD, a trophy and a certificate. The runner-up team will win a prize worth $5,000, a trophy and a certificate.

The performances will be evaluated according to the following criteria: ideas, diversity and themes of the performance; richness and diversity of colors, uniqueness and quality of the performance, scale and number of effects, synchronization between sound and fireworks images, relevance to the theme, and manifestation of the theme’s meaning of DIFF 2023.

The plan also requires organizing large-scale companion activities with rich, attractive content and high interaction with the festival, new constructions, connection and integration of approved activities in programs and plans of organizers into the general companion program of DIFF 2023 to create a communication effect for the entire event.

In particular, promotional content focuses on activities at DIFF 2023, especially the image of the city to domestic and foreign tourists.

Funding for the fireworks display is borne by Sun Group and is not used from the State budget according to general regulations.
