From the early morning of September 2, the hot air ballooning program to celebrate the National Day takes place vibrantly in the area of Nguyen Thien Thanh Street (behind An Khanh Communal House, Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).
Since morning, residents and tourists have been watching colorful hot air balloons flying in the city sky. This year, a hot air balloon printed with the National Flag, 18m high and 14m in diameter, is a special highlight of the program.

The hot air ballooning program takes place on September 2 and 3 during the following hours: from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day is the exclusive night of hot air balloon lanterns.
Also within the framework of the National Day celebration program, on September 2, a series of other cultural, artistic, and sports activities take place.
On the evening of September 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., at Nguyen Hue walking street, residents and tourists will see lion and dragon performances, drum festivals, and martial arts performances of Vovinam, Wushu, and traditional kungfu.
Especially, on the evening of September 2, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., Ho Chi Minh City will organize a high-altitude fireworks show at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City) and a low-altitude alike at Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11).
